    The present investigation was proposed as a specific objective which was to describe the physical and social well-being of the elderly, who are permanently residing in the Ambato Canton asylum to determine the factors that intervene to cause some risk against adults. The procedures for data collection were developed systematically by applying three scales to 30 older adults. They assessed the activities of daily life, the risk of falling and the social status of the elderly. Subsequently, they were tabulated, analyzed and discussed based on the theoretical framework in a precise and cautious way to avoid exposing older adults who participated in the research. The results obtained showed that the majority of older adults managed to carry out physical activities mainly: feeding, using the toilet, dressing and grooming without the need for assistance in its realization, instead there are activities such as: going up and down stairs and bathing, you must have a special care for its realization.
