    This work was carried out in the Argentine precinct of the Cumandá canton. Province of Chimborazo, obtaining the following results: For the population of thrips in orito cluster treated with chemical and organic insecticide: These data were taken at the time of harvest. Treatment T1 (single sheath with insecticide Neem-X), shows numerical values smaller than the other treatments (14.86) for the variable percentage of thrips at harvest; Similar values are also shown for the variable percentage of rejected segments (7.40). The benefit-cost ratio of treatments is higher for T1 (1:44), thus becoming the treatment that produces better results both economically and environmentally since it is an organic product that promotes effective control of insects And reduces the damage to the environment and the health of producers and consumers.
