The purpose of this research work was to establish the lesbian identity before the university view of the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato, taking into account its social construct in the face of gender identity. In the search for understanding about sexual identity, in recent decades there have been significant changes in the legal field about social inclusion and recognition, analyzing approaches to study about university insertion. The approach used in the development of the study is quantitative, through the application of 283 structured surveys that detail aspects of the attitude and social construction about lesbianism, linked to an extensive bibliographic work on the subject. The study on lesbianism in the university community, showed a result whose recognition generates an attitudinal tolerance, pointing out that it is an inherent aspect of human rights, despite this they throw large segmentations due to socio-cultural dissonance. The anonymity of lesbianism is the cause of cultural barriers due to the assignment of women's roles, thus generating great social stigmatization and becoming a globally controversial issue, transcending gender inequality. In conclusion, to achieve social equity one must work for the liberation of sexual prejudices due to the socio-cultural contexts that regulate heterosexuality.
