Ft; Dra. Ortiz Villalba Lcda. Mg, Paola Gabriela
Acute respiratory failure is the inability of the body to maintain adequate gas exchange. Patients admitted to the ICU suffer from impaired mobility, so early mobilization has been proposed as a strategy to counteract acquired muscle weakness, so the objective of this study is to implement an early mobility program in patients with Acute respiratory failure in the intensive care unit of Hospital General Ambato. For this, a total of 30 hospitalized patients in the intensive care unit were taken as a reference, where the scale of the Medical Research Council (MRC) and the ICU Mobility Scale (IMS) were applied at the beginning and end of the intervention. By analyzing the results obtained from this study, it was possible to reduce the hospital stay of the patient, in such a way that we could establish preventive measures and have therapeutic options, which indicates that the applied technique is effective after being applied four times a week with a duration of 30 minutes each session, establishing in the patient an intensive physiotherapy treatment during his hospital stay.
