    “La sobreprotección y su efecto en el desarrollo social en niños/as de 2 a 3 años”

    This research is based on the theme: Overprotection and its Effect on Social Development in children aged 2 to 3 years whose general objective is to investigate the influence of overprotection on social development in children from 2 to 3 years. Based on the effects and factors that influence social development, it can be observed that the influence of overprotection is of great importance in the social development of children aged 2 to 3 years. A questionnaire addressed to parents was applied which evaluates the overprotection, consists of 4 dimensions the first one is determined in general aspects about the autonomy, the interaction with the environment and the independent separation of the parents, the second determines on the feeding with respect to the independent use of the spoon and cup, the third determines its autonomy after going to the bathroom and the fourth detects the ability to control the sphincters. In addition independence in children is of great importance since at two years show interest in the world around them; acquire more experiences and skills in the social field. In addition, a scale assessing social skills in children was applied, with a population of 20 children attending the "LUDOTECA" Latacunga Early Stimulation Center, this scale is aimed at the caregivers of children since they are the ones who are in direct contact with them. The scale evaluates three dimensions, the first refers to social cooperation that determines the ability to interact between peers and adults, follow-up instructions, the second describes the social interaction that is based on the relationship with peers and the ability to participate in different activities and the third refers to social independence based on the independent separation of parents. It can be concluded that overprotection influences social development, since through the instruments the results obtained can be observed, which means that there is influence in girls in the factors between dress / hygiene and social interaction, and the dress / hygiene and social independence, however, children present certain difficulties in their social interaction, in addition parents are the fundamental basis in the development of children.
