    Within the ICU, the nursing staff plays an important role at the time of care and attention to the patient with COVID-19. The prone position has been one of the treatments for these patients. To describe the perception of the nursing professional about the application and effectiveness of the prone position in the patient with covid-19. A qualitative, phenomenological, descriptive, and cross-sectional investigation was carried out. As a form of information collection, semi-structured interviews were used that allowed discovering the perception of the care applied to the patient in the prone position associated with COVID-19, the analysis was carried out using the methodology of Demaziére D. and Dubar C. It was also considered the principles of autonomy, respect and confidentiality of information, the ethical aspects indicated in the Declaration of Helsinki were taken care of. It has been shown that the prone position has not been used previously by nurses and began to be used as a result of the global pandemic, as an alternative measure for the treatment of COVID-19. The first study on PD was given for the first time in 1972, this position according to reviewed articles and the research carried out contributes to the increase in the ventilation / perfusion ratio and as a consequence a heterogeneous capillary filling. The nursing professional's perception of the application and effectiveness of (PD) in patients with COVID-19 has been favorable, clear and precise information has been obtained according to its effectiveness.
