Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-03) Vásconez Gutiérrez, Alex Fabián; Jordán Hidalgo, Edisson PatricioThis work is based on the elaboration of an Ex post Environmental Impact Study in the Martinez Tannery, which allows an analysis of the current situation in which the Tannery finds itself regarding issues that are inclined to care for the environment. The leather tanning process to which tannery Martínez is dedicated is considered complex, since several chemical substances are used to reach the final product, which generate contamination to the physical, abiotic and socioeconomic components of the sector under study, in addition, they generate a large amount of solid waste and to avoid contaminating the natural environment must have a correct final disposal, so this research work is important because the necessary guidelines will be obtained for the tannery to have a good operation. The research work began with an interview with the general manager of the Tannery, obtaining the necessary information corresponding to the adequate facilities for the leather tanning process and on the elements that prevent environmental contamination, in addition, the areas of influence that are Directly or indirectly related to the company, also through field visits and bibliographic research, the identification of the baseline of the study sector was carried out and with the help of the Leopold matrix and the NTP 330 matrix, it was evaluated how harmful the Tannery is Martínez for the environment and the population within the areas of influence. The Environmental Management plan establishes the technical parameters with which the general manager of the company must apply them within its facilities to mitigate environmental contamination and take care of the health of the population and workers, avoiding sanctions by the Ministry of the Environment.
