(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Diseño de Espacios Arquitectónicos, 2017-01) Silva Rodríguez, Jimmy Rafael; Suárez Abril, Eduardo Santiago
The present research seeks to analyze the general panorama that involves the Psittacids; disaggregating the problem in its different parts, to understand the complete circuit of human activities that threaten the wild homeostasis of these species; and detailing in general: the levels of extraction and mortality they face globally; the roles of the different nations involved, documented contemporary traffic dynamics, examples of different contemporary and past regional effects; current context in Ecuador, taxonomic description of the species, captive conditions provided and their effects on the health of specimens; to more than clinical opinions of action and care. Proceeding then to direct the investigative intentions of the project, towards the determination of the elements that condition the health in captivity of the species. Concluding that it is the absence of wild conditions for which their organisms evolved, which triggers a series of physical and psychological pathologies, (silent or painful), which progressively violate the life of specimens, leading to premature deaths. Situation that converts control of captive habitat conditions into the best clinical resource for optimum conservation of captive specimens' health. Directing the research findings of the project, towards the development of a series of physical schemes of infrastructural design of captives, which seek to improve the quality of life of trafficked specimens, either with intentions of exhibition or wild reintroduction. Considering for the development of the same, both the general availability of space; the accessibility to materials and convenience of the same to the interaction with the fauna; the ease of construction and replication of the solutions, capable of becoming popular and attractive to the human eye; to more of the facility of cleaning, maintenance and handling of the facilities.

Ecuador is the owner of a circuit of popular demonstrations that partly expresses the cultural baggage of the native peoples. The Octave of the Corpus Christi de Pujilí is part of that cultural heritage declared intangible heritage of the nation in 2001, a sumptuous festival that has jealously guards intrinsic values of the pujilian people combined in a cultural syncretism with manifestations and sacred elements of the worldview of the Catholic world. Demonstration that motivated to deploy a study, deepening in regards to the central socio-cultural components of the celebration. The study “Illustration of the clothing of the main characters of the Octave of Corpus Christi de Pujilí”, essentially results from the empirical and incomplete graphic evidence of the characters (alcalde, prioste, oficial tamborero-pingullero, mama danza y danzante) of the traditional festival, also affecting the ignorance of the symbolic meaning of the character and his wardrobe. Therefore, fashion illustration must be the tool that helps in the illustrated representation of the five popular characters and their respective typical costumes, for which, it was necessary to raise the historical evolution of the aesthetic, technical characteristics (production, materials) and symbolic. Study that will finally be registered in an illustrated catalog, with the contributions provided by one of the country's heritage issues. The study is characterized by being qualitative, which is why the methodology used is field and documentary-bibliographic. The exploratory study agreed to collect deep and pertinent information through methods such as: participatory observation, interview and illustrative elements (photographs, illustrations, paintings) of the cultural suits. As well as, from the epistemological dimension it allowed to contrast and overcome the empirical data of the preceding and the most current version of the typical costumes. The illustrative elements collected and their respective analysis is the preamble to generate illustrations of the selected characters, making use of the expression techniques that were studied in the “fashion illustration” section

The present integrative project entitled “Collaborative work with the Yatzaputzan community in the development of ball gowns”, stems from the need to apply “artisanal processes” in fashion design manufacturing, since during the intervention that was carried out through of the Project of Linking with the Society of the Faculty of Design and Architecture of the Technical University of Ambato, it was clear the idea of involving more actively these communities that have in their memory and in their hands the art of manual embroidery, the Resistance of the ancient teachings of artisan embroidery to disappear and the modern ideology of returning to the roots expose the inherent obligation to cultivate our national fashion, that is, make it more ours. For this reason, this project aims to introduce the idea of fair work with local artisans into the market to develop designs that allow them to improve their quality of life and the designer to apply clean and environmentally friendly techniques in their fashion designs. Handmade embroidery on your gala costumes. In the tireless work of the everyday for the artisan embroiderer, the rest is when his hands reflect the reason for his fatigue, because life itself is drawn on its stitches. Consequently, the fashion collection that takes the name Ethereal encompasses all the conceptual techniques applied in the conception of the fashion collection, as well as the indistinct application of artisan embroidery techniques with the use and application of new materials to definitely obtain a ¨ ART-HEALTHY ¨. The collection named Etéreo transgresses the threshold of the ephemeral to be the permanence of ancestral knowledge in local and national fashion.

This research studies the artistic development of the city of Ambato at present, from a socio-spatial approach, using as a resource the valorization of these aspects to enhance this cultural manifestation. The problem is defined in the reduced value that our societies give to art, this devaluation, goes from the ignorance of art as such, the absence of the architecture of the concept, and goes through the new understanding of art as a potential for social development. This research work aims to revalue art through the proposal of an architectural project, which provides the physical space and houses the institutionalization of a professional entity of visual arts, thought precisely from art and conceived from the social. The present study in its chapters seeks to clarify the power that artistic manifestations can have in society, for which they need to be revalued from the social and whose components; cultural, educational, political, economic, ideological, and spatial, work in parallel with art as a strategic alternative for growth. The research is projected to collect data from society, making use of the techniques of interviews and surveys of artists, cultural managers and the public, to determine methodologically if the artistic development of a society depends effectively; of the valorization that we provide, of the professional instruction and, of the constructed spatial state. From the investigation it was obtained that; there is a lack of knowledge of the art and / or culture of Ambato, on average of 70.95%, based on interviews and surveys, 63.19% of the population consider the city to be underdeveloped in the arts, but the 86.13% affirm that professionalization is paramount and the level of acceptance of the proposal in this work is encouraging.
