Item Estudio de las condiciones de hábitat de aves de la familia psitácida y su aplicación en el diseño de espacios en el Zoológico municipal del Coca, -Coca Zoo- de la ciudad Francisco de Orellana.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Diseño de Espacios Arquitectónicos, 2017-01) Silva Rodríguez, Jimmy Rafael; Suárez Abril, Eduardo SantiagoThe present research seeks to analyze the general panorama that involves the Psittacids; disaggregating the problem in its different parts, to understand the complete circuit of human activities that threaten the wild homeostasis of these species; and detailing in general: the levels of extraction and mortality they face globally; the roles of the different nations involved, documented contemporary traffic dynamics, examples of different contemporary and past regional effects; current context in Ecuador, taxonomic description of the species, captive conditions provided and their effects on the health of specimens; to more than clinical opinions of action and care. Proceeding then to direct the investigative intentions of the project, towards the determination of the elements that condition the health in captivity of the species. Concluding that it is the absence of wild conditions for which their organisms evolved, which triggers a series of physical and psychological pathologies, (silent or painful), which progressively violate the life of specimens, leading to premature deaths. Situation that converts control of captive habitat conditions into the best clinical resource for optimum conservation of captive specimens' health. Directing the research findings of the project, towards the development of a series of physical schemes of infrastructural design of captives, which seek to improve the quality of life of trafficked specimens, either with intentions of exhibition or wild reintroduction. Considering for the development of the same, both the general availability of space; the accessibility to materials and convenience of the same to the interaction with the fauna; the ease of construction and replication of the solutions, capable of becoming popular and attractive to the human eye; to more of the facility of cleaning, maintenance and handling of the facilities.
