Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2022-09) Rueda Puente, Hugo Guillermo; Altamirano Meléndez, Santiago MauricioThe present proposed system has the objective of marking the beginning of the development of intelligent transportation, an area that is represented by the public, private and student sectors; making use of a little-known wireless technology such as LoRaWAN, which allows management and control of end nodes over long distances with low data transfer rates, achieving a solid and easy-to-apply architecture. The proposed system consists of three interconnected facets, and at the same time independent of each other, through TTL technology as well as wireless communication. These three facets rely on sampling using temperature sensors, student counting, and an industrial sensor for atmospheric pressure (for weather forecasting), humidity, and temperature of the environment inside the mobile unit. Those data from the industrial sensor are sent through LoRa technology, belonging to the second facet of the project to the TTN server, through a Gateway bridge, having the opportunity to be visualized through the ThingSpeak platform belonging to the Matlab area, for sensor monitoring, independently of each bus unit. As a last facet, there is communication with the stop station, which allows access for students to get on or off at the points allowed by the University, allowing a better culture and order in the use of student transport and opening the way for that the project has greater influence for the management of urban transport in the city. The development of the control system in the bus units allowed an improvement in management, with respect to the fair management of the student capacity allowed in accordance with the framework of regulations present by COVID-19, increasing safety and care in students. as well as the identity of the University through this system.
