The study presented below consists of the exploration of extended surfaces that will be attached on a heat pipe in order to determine which of these has the highest efficiency based on the amount of heat that it can dissipate and also expanding the information concerning the manufacture of heat pipes. For this reason, four test specimen proposals were made, each of these shared initial characteristics such as geometry and test conditions. Once those characteristics were delimited, a specific extended surface was selected. The selected surfaces were radial placed at a defined distance from the evaporator. In addition, it was decided to carry out interior grooves of specific geometry, which will allow us to perform experimental tests looking for the main goal of the project. The structuring of the grooves was achieved based on a working mold; the wick used was copper powder. Additionally, a partial emptying of the test tubes was carried out in order to increase their effectiveness. Once the procedure was carried out, a quantity of heat was focused, obtained by means of a source or flame that granted an initial temperature of 300 degrees centigrade supplied to the evaporator, which allowed testing a temperature difference at the end of the test tube. The effectiveness was established by interpreting its temperature differential since, as it increased, it was reflected that the characteristics of the specimen are adequate to dissipate a greater amount of heat.
