ABSTRACT Research teachers must look for scientific articles to have references, starting points or from where to continue with a specific investigation. In the same way, to publish an article in a journal, the researcher must identify the best option of where to publish. In either of the two aforementioned processes, a large amount of time is consumed in consulting the specialized databases available on the web. This project focuses on facilitating the processing of databases of scientific publications and suggesting articles related to a topic, and scientific journals to publish. As part of this work, a mobile application was developed in Flutter and Python was used for web scraping of web pages. The use of Flutter avoided excessive queries to third-party databases and Python programming facilitated the transformation of data and metadata, according to the needs of the users. The methodology applied for the project was Mobile-D, allowing to focus on research, in the initiation phase, and to carry out short cycles of iterative development. From the search result, the user can consult the metadata of a publication, according to its indexing in scientific databases. Similarly, you can view detailed information on the level of impact of a scientific publication source. The utility of the application was successfully validated with the participation of research professors through a survey to measure the system usability scale (SUS).
