The objective of this research is to calculate the hydraulic efficiency by means of a simulation software using mainly the Ecuadorian Road Standard NEVI-12. The data obtained in this research were compared with previous data of the 1:4 scale model, which were previously carried out in the laboratories of the Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering belonging to the Technical University of Ambato. The conditions taken into account were slope values such as: transverse (pumping): 2 and 4 percent and longitudinal 0.5, 4 and 12 percent. The flow rates used for the simulations were full-scale values for one and two drains: 16.91 lt/s, 47.85 lt/s, 79.75 lt/s and 111.65 lt/s. The experimental investigation had three different approaches: the first one is given with the placement of the sumps in elevation, the second one refers to the placement of the sumps in depression and the third one with the placement of the sumps at track level. It was determined that the efficiency values are high at a minimum flow rate of 16.91 lt/s, but as the flow rate increases, its efficiency decreases regardless of the number of T45 drains with longitudinal bars and the variations in the longitudinal slope.
