Item Diferencia entre el cálculo y diseño de un edificio aporticado frente al diseño de un edificio con muros de corte(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica. Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2017) Ramírez Chaglla, Edgar Eduardo; Cevallos Cabrera, Jorge WashingtonThe present project demonstrates the differences between the calculation and design of a building made in front of a walled building, for which research was carried out to provide definitions of certain terms indispensable for the realization of the same, detailing the updated regulations for the control of the period of vibration, displacements, inelastic drifts, etc. With this data, I did to the structuring to choose the type of structural system, type of material and with this to realize a pre-dimensioning of the structural sections that would conform the multifamily building of 10 floors. After calculating the basal shear, the period of structure vibration and elastic spectrum of acceleration design, we proceeded to model the building in the Etabs 2015 software to perform the dynamic spectral analysis, complying with the stipulated in the Ecuadorian Construction Standard 2015 And international standards for the case of walled building, and once stabilized the structure ordinary moment-resisting frame design the structural elements based on the code ACI-318-14. With this, the spectral dynamic analysis was carried out for the walled building and once its stabilization was achieved, the design of the structural elements was continued according to the same code of the building. Finally, the results showed that the walled building has a better seismic behavior, reducing the fundamental period by 50%, the maximum inelastic drift by 63%, the total weight of the structure by 4%, although the shear Basal increase by 54% in relation to the building made, evidencing the importance of this experimental work.
