(Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-09-11) Pruna Plazarte, Ana Lisbeth; García Ramos, Diana Carolina
This project was carried out with the objective of determining the relationship between perceived stress and assertiveness in university teachers. In the case of perceived stress, the perceived stress scale is used and for assertiveness the Rathus assertiveness inventory is used, in a population of 93 university professors. The applied methodology was based on a non-experimental design, since the data collection was carried out in a single moment, in addition the study variables were not manipulated, thus having a cross-sectional correlational level. The information extracted through the scales is compared using Spearman's non-parametric test, to obtain the corresponding correlation. It was determined that perceived stress and assertiveness do not maintain a relationship within the population of university teachers, it was also determined that according to the perceived stress scale, 64.5%, equivalent to a total of 60 teachers, maintain a moderate level. of perceived stress, while according to the Rathus assertiveness inventory, 46.2% are reflected at an assertive level with 43 participants, followed by 39 participants with 41.9% at a very assertive level, which is a positive indicator. within the university teaching population thus facilitating the expression of thoughts, feelings and emotions.
