One of the methodologies used is the rapid visual inspection and evaluation through formats and matrices of the International Standard FEMA 154, and those proposed by the Ecuadorian Regulation NEC 2015, with the objective of recognizing and classifying the structure by its vulnerability seismic, with the two proposals the average degree of vulnerability was determined, for the analysis the most relevant parameters were: irregularities in plan and elevation, the structural system and the type of soil. With all the information collected, the linear analysis and the non-linear static analysis were carried out to verify the modal parameters, the behavior of the building and of each structural element. With the results obtained from the linear analysis, it was determined that the vibration period and the floor drifts do not comply with what is established in the Ecuadorian Regulations, it also presents a torsional behavior in its vibration modes and from the non-linear static analysis it was observed that the building it has a deficient capacity for different levels of seismic threats, presenting a high degree of vulnerability. With the results of the two methodologies used, a proposal to reinforce the building was made, one was proposed at a global level with the placement of shear walls and another at a local level with the steel cladding for the beams, considerably improving their behavior and complying with the checks established in the regulations in force. Finally, a comparison was made of the periods obtained by the different analyzes with the period of vibration obtained by empirical formulas that were based on environmental vibrations, to relate them to the degree of vulnerability of the structure.
