Item Evaluación del efecto de dos protocolos de sincronización de celo sobre los niveles de estrógenos y progesterona en vacas doble propósito de la Amazonía Ecuatoriana(2022-09) Pilla Campaña, Madelin Marcela; Aragadvay Yungán, Ramón GonzaloThe objective of this research work was to determine if there are variations in serum levels of progesterone, estradiol and pregnancy rate between J Synch and Conventional estrus synchronization protocols; the evaluation was carried out in dual purpose cows in the province of Pastaza. A simple random sampling was carried out to determine the animals that would enter the research, for which, a total of 200 animals were counted, each treatment consisted of 100 cows in which 5 repetitions were carried out with an experimental unit of 20 animals. Each treatment was sub-sampled and 10 animals per synchronization protocol were selected for the evaluation of estrogen and progesterone blood levels. Once the synchronization protocols were administered, blood samples were taken on the day of fixed-time artificial insemination to determine estrogen blood levels and 14 days post-FTI to evaluate serum progesterone concentration, and finally 45 days after FTI, pregnancy was diagnosed. Once the laboratory data were obtained, where the percentage of E2 and P4 for the J Synch treatment was 103.35 pg/mL; 6.75 ng/mL, while for the Conventional protocol the values were 97.35 pg/mL and 15.24 ng/mL respectively; it was determined that the blood levels of progesterone and estradiol did not vary between the different synchronization protocols since the percentage of pregnancy for the Conventional treatment was 53% and 55% for the J Synch treatment.
