    ABSTRACT Communication mechanisms presented in this research work are key factors in determining the participation of students of the School of Communication at the Technical University of Ambato, promoting the values, responsibility, caution around social networks. The use of technology has gained importance in the development of all processes, especially in education, where changes are successively generated to provide students the necessary tools to enable them to generate learning and strengthen their skills in this way deal the world and its requirements. This research is based on legal, philosophical or other aspects. The statistical contribution through the gathering of information suggests the ways in which this research should go in against various threats and weaknesses that may arise in the course of it. The exercise of the opportunities presented from the analysis and interpretation of results, proposed landing on land and provide a coherent response to work, through concrete, accessible and reliable solutions, allowing both access, as the cultural actions of the study population. To do this, it aims to carry out activities that allow students of the School of Social Communication aware of the effects caused by the use of social networks in classes, which will be shown in the workshops students how annoying it can be constant use of social networks; in addition to students socialize the data obtained from the research and awareness through photographs using social networks not only affects decoding messages but also interferes significantly in all processes of living, and especially in the inter learning, noticing the effects on academic performance.
