Item Sistema inteligente de seguridad y alertas para bicicletas en el Ecuador basado en IOT(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2022-09) Pazmiño Pérez, Diego Ismael; Castro Martin, Ana PamelaCurrently there are several means of transportation and due to the recent conditions that humanity has experienced around the world with the pandemic, the use of bicycles for mobility inside and outside the city is gaining attention. These vehicles offer many health benefits, from physical activity to preventing infections caused by mass gatherings when using conventional means of transportation. With a 700% increase in its use in Ecuador since 2019, bicycles represent the fourth most used means of transport in the country. However, the crime of bike theft has increased significantly because bike theft represents a viable and sustainable market for criminals, a mid-range bike costs between $1,000 and $9,000, criminals sell it for half or less even, therefore having to invest in a performance bike is not safe. This project develops a security system based on the internet of things to mitigate a large part of the aforementioned problems. The operation is based on 3 stages the first; user authentication whenever you need to use the vehicle through a fingerprint sensor. In case of detecting an unjustified abnormal behavior by means of a tilt sensor, the device will start to issue alerts to the user registered in the service, the second stage is the storage of the information, this saves the data of the device in a database using a Hosting, to then send to the third stage where the owner can monitor the location of the bicycle in real time through a smartphone. Thanks to the implementation in each of the stages, it allows the validation of users, the storage of data in the cloud and monitoring from a mobile device, thus complying with the IoT architecture, thus solving a security problem in the event of bicycle theft.
