Item Apego y su relación con la dependencia emocional en estudiantes universitarios(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-04-18) Paucar Chaglla, Dennis Javier; Velastegui Hernández, Diana CatalinaThe objective of this study was to determine the relationship between attachment and emotional dependence in university students, variables that were measured through the Adult Attachment Scale and the Emotional Dependency Questionnaire (CDE), in a sample of 116 university students belonging to to medicine and clinical psychology courses at the Technical University of Ambato, the research used a quantitative approach, with a descriptive-correlational and non-experimental level, also presenting a crosssectional design. The results found during the investigation showed that the students evaluated present a moderate level of emotional dependence. In the same way, regarding Attachment we found that in Factor 1 corresponding to Low self-esteem, need for approval and fear of rejection, the level of moderate attachment is the one that stands out the most in the studied population with 22.4%. Likewise, in Factor 2 related to Hostile Conflict Resolution, rancor and possessiveness, we found that the very high level of attachment is the one that stands out in the studied population with 23.3%. In the same way, in Factor 3 belonging to Expression of feelings and comfort with relationships, the level of very low attachment is the one that stands out from the population studied with 37.9%. Finally, in Factor 4 linked to attachment, we found that the very high level of attachment is the one that stands out in the population studied with 57.8%. On the other hand, it was found that there are no statistically significant differences (p=.244) with respect to sex in terms of the average emotional dependence in men and women. Finally, it was observed that Emotional Dependency is positively correlated with scale 1 (low self-esteem, need for approval) and scale 2 (hostile conflict resolution, rancor, and possessiveness) at a moderate intensity.
