Item Abandono y depresión en los adultos mayores del centro Gerentológico CAIAM Patate(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2021-10) Zamora López, Michelle Antonella; Paredes Ruiz, Teresa de JesusAbstract : The main question of this work is to determine if Abandonment is a factor that leads to Depression in the elderly at the CAIAM Patate Gerontological Center. The older adult is seen before society as a subject that inspires respect and admiration, being important for society since it is determined as a figure of experience and help for the new generations, this would be the ideal, but still it is not like that . Unfortunately, there are a small number of families that do not give the value they deserve, as there is 14.9% in abandonment of older adults in Ecuador, within the institution that was the object of study it will be possible to determine that there is a , 33% of abandonment by their families, 82.33% of older adults who are institutionalized in the gerontological center maintain a state of depression despite having a protective environment in which they receive the necessary care. The behavior after abandonment and depression of the elderly is taken into account, concluding that it is confirmed that depression is related to the abandonment of the elderly from the CAIAM Patate Gerontological Center. It is important to mention that medical care is a priority in the gerontological center, but when they present abandonment by their relatives, this leads to certain difficulties in care since they only have the support of the health center and they do not have all the medication needed by older adults. Therefore, it is recommended to reduce depressive symptoms, for which social relationships should be promoted, through activities in which a therapeutic accompaniment can be had.Item Calidad de vida del adulto mayor del cantón Tisaleo de la Provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2021-03) Martínez Andrade, Gabriela Milena; Paredes Ruiz, Teresa de JesusThe quality of life in the elderly is made up of objective and subjective factors, showing well-being in these is a challenge; Thus, the main objective of this research is to diagnose the quality of life of the elderly in the canton of Tisaleo in four fundamental aspects: material conditions, health, leisure and social relationships and general life experience. The methodology was of a mixed nature: Quali quantitative. Qualitative due to the creation of a qualitative assessment tool based on semistructured oral interviews due to the profile of the respondents, adapted to the community context and based on the quality of life indicators of the Ministry of Spain; and Quantitative because the responses from the oral interviews were coded into numerical segments for a quantitative measurement. Studies on the quality of life in the elderly allow to conclude that the material and economic conditions of this group are limited, with significant housing deficiencies; the health determinants were a negative self-assessment of their health status due to the occurrence of diseases, poor quality health care and limited access to medicines, as well as the influence of a diet lacking in quality and quantity. The existence of a good relationship with the informal networks of the elderly and a favorable recreation and use of free time is highlighted; however, satisfaction with their general life experience or subjective wellbeing is negative, despite the fact that most of them live with others, with feelings of loneliness and sadness standing out in a quarter of the population.Item Desempleo y calidad de vida en las familias de los estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa Intercultural Bilingue Toalombo de Ambato durante tiempos de Covid-19(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2021-10) Tirado Paredes, Jean Pierre; Paredes Ruiz, Teresa de JesusABSTRACT: The research encloses the variables unemployment and life quality of the families of the students in the Unidad Educativa Intercultural Bilingüe Tamboloma during times of COVID-19. The purpose of the research is to determine the influence of unemployment on the life quality of the families of the students in the Unidad Educativa Intercultural Bilingüe Tamboloma of Ambato during times of COVID-19, where the main problem is the increase in unemployment as a consequence of the social phenomenon COVID-19. Likewise, social worker action has great importance to give resolution to the problems and manage resources in order to contribute to the satisfaction of the needs and recover the well-being of the family members. Methodology, the exploration submits a mixed approach with an analytical synthetic and hypothetical - deductive method, with a descriptive and correlational level since it was based on the collection of information through the survey technique using a semi-structured instrument to analyze how present the variables and their corresponding relationship. In a nutshell, it was discovered that the life quality is affected by unemployment mainly in family economic resources incomes, which do not allow them to satisfy their needs. Results, unemployment causes damage in the objective and subjective area of the family members life quality, then, it affects life satisfaction, productivity, personal relationships and health (emotional and psychological), consequently it gave rise to a situation of poverty in home. An alternative solution was proposed regarding the creation of enterprises to solve the problems found in this study.Item Los vínculos afectivos en el núcleo familiar y el síndrome de alienación parental,de los casos presentados en el Consejo de la Judicatura de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2020-11) Cisneros Herrera, Analí Carolina; Paredes Ruiz, Teresa de JesusThe investigative work refers to the affective bonds in the family nucleus and the parental alienation syndrome, of the cases presented in the Tungurahua Judicial Council, which mentions that the family, whatever its structure, is adjusted by a group of people of different interests in which the tension and the conflictive context between the generations, normally make a presence in family relationships and it is assumed as an insecure scenario, which demands help and external support for the organization of family relationships. Among the main characteristics that are established are affection, hate, satisfaction and all other emotions, often contradictory, individuals live processes that will establish their style of interaction in other contexts, such as school, work and their relationships affective outside its nucleus of origin. Affective bonds are the expression of the union between parents and children, an aspect that goes beyond the relationship of kinship and is in force in all educational tasks, providing family communication, security in difficult periods, establishing rules and its fulfillment. Hence, their occupations start beyond mere socialization or education, they also involve the satisfaction of their material, emotional and spiritual needs. Then arises from international organizations, the need to address in the countries that sign treaties or agreements these aforementioned situations, in which from the legal and emotional point of view there is the separation of the ties that unite the couple, however, the couples with children must learn to clearly differentiate two roles: that of partner and that of parents, and rework their concept of shared parental responsibility because with the end of the relationship their obligations and responsibilities with their children do not end. From a methodological perspective that approaches the mixed approach, with the Inductive-Deductive method that is based on two processes: induction will allow us to establish generalizations of affective bonds and the parental alienation syndrome, from the common, then from that generalization several logical conclusions will be deduced, which through deduction will translate into enriched generalizations, to form a logical unit. Thus, the use of the inductive-deductive method has many potentials such as the construction of knowledge. This structured project is then presented as follows: Chapter I containing the Theoretical Framework, where the Research Background, problematic situation, theoretical development, general objective, specific objectives, and a series of concepts and information that allow locating in real context affective ties in the family nucleus of the Tungurahua Judiciary, as the objectives of this investigation. In Chapter II, the methodology and operationalization of variables is presented, as well as the instrument that will support data collection. In chapter III, the analysis and discussion of results is expressed. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations
