The present research project focuses on the analysis of the cultural richness of the Pilahuín parish for its application in interior design in a heritage building as a strategy for the preservation of its tangible and intangible heritage, making known within this space its values, traditions and customs, which have been gradually lost. Today's heritage buildings have been considered architectural jewels of the republican period, which have remained standing through their structures, making them a valuable contribution to strengthening the cultural identity of a people. The intention to safeguard these architectural icons has taken the initiative to capture the cultural aspects that, through rehabilitation and interior design, allow socio-cultural and economic development. To describe and study the culture of Pilahuín, a qualitative and quantitative methodological approach has been proposed because it was necessary to carry out exploratory and field research; Through the use of ethnography, it was possible to know the current situation of the place by engaging in some activities carried out by the people of the place, simultaneously ethnographic data sheets were collected to collect real data information for their respective analysis, knowing in depth their cultural scenarios that Identify them and be brought to the proposal of interior design.
