Mg, Miriam IvonneNeurocysticercosis (NCC) is an affection of the central nervous system caused by the ingestion of larval cysts (cysticerci) of Taenia solium, present in undercooked pork, water, contaminated food or by self-contamination. Its main objective is to describe the evolution of the patient through the sources of available information and the assessment based on the 14 Virginia Henderson needs and thus identify current patient health problems. The methodology applied was bibliographical-documentary, descriptive and field, emphasizing in the latter since a survey has been applied to the patient and family with the purpose of identifying risk factors that trigger the problem. The conclusion is reached to make an extra-hospital guide for the Neurocysticercosis patient in order to improve their lifestyle. Discussion: According to the patient survey, some sequelae of the disease have been identified, including headache, convulsions, blurred vision, lack of sensitivity and paresthesia.
