    Diseño de una pequeña central hidroeléctrica en el canal de riego Ambato – Huachi – Pelileo en la provincia de Tungurahua desde el tramo +0.00 km hasta +4.24 km

    In the stated technical project, it is intended to take advantage from the water channel’s current, starting at the +0.00 Km up to 4.3 Km, between the locations of Huachi la Libertad and Manzana de Oro. All this based on the topographic survey, where modules were placed on the tract of study. Physical and Hydraulic properties were determined for the modules included between the abscissa: 0+140 Km (Module 1); 0+380 Km (Module 2); 1+340 Km (Module 3); 2+240 Km (Module 4); 3+800 Km (Module 5). The design in this civil project included a charging station, a conducting pipe, and a turbine Michell Banki. This turbine was selected for Module 1 since there is a 10- meter topographic unevenness and the average flow is 0.392 m3/s, which is the average flow necessary to generate 38.46 Kw of power. Ultimately the generated power will be used for agriculture.
