The design and construction of a cup drawing die arises to solve the teaching problem for students in the Mechanical Engineering program, since they receive this process only theoretically, thus creating gaps in their education. The project was developed through bibliographic sources and videos that provided the necessary information to develop the design and construction of the die. Since it is the drawing of a conical part, it was necessary to perform calculations completely different from a straight drawing, for which it was adapted to the size of the cup to meet its capacity. In this way, the materials Steel DF-2, ASTM A36 and AISI 4340 were acquired for its construction through machining processes such as turning, milling and drilling. Finally, the die tests were carried out to verify its operation, in which it was identified that the die radius is an important factor for the sheet metal to slide and avoid fractures. In addition, the punch design, being conical, needs to have chamfered sections at 45 degrees and cylindrical sections in order to avoid tension in the sheet metal. For this drawing, 4 strokes are required in the following ranges: first stroke of 3000-3350 psi, second stroke of 2600-2850 psi, third stroke of 1800-2500 psi and the fourth of 1000-1500 psi, meeting the capacity of 25 ml. In this project, it is recommended to carry out practices to acquire greater knowledge.
