    The present case study was carried out with the objective of analyzing a clinical case of a patient with fat embolism secondary to humerus fracture, a pathology of great clinical interest due to its high morbidity and mortality in the population, for which embolism was theoretically based fat, causes, risk factors and clinical manifestations and the case was examined chronologically in order to be able to select diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the clinical management of this type of patients based on critical points. For the development of the case study, a bibliographicdocumentary methodology was used, with which it was possible to collect information from theoretical sources and the patient's clinical history in order to better understand the evolution and implications of the pathology. With the development of the study, it was possible to conclude that fat embolism describes the presence of fat in the blood circulation and that it occurs due to trauma to the long bones, whose pathophysiology is explained by mechanical and biochemical theories, generating a classic symptomatology that helps us in diagnosis and treatment approach.
