    Impacto mediático del covid-19 en el sector artístico musical de la ciudad de Ambato

    The pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus has caused short and long-term havoc in all labor sectors around the world, so that people and society in general have been affected in its social, private, and social work life. The labor part that was previously mentioned is of great importance. Since all labor sectors were affected, having to postpone activities o adapt a new work modality in order to continue. Of all of the sectors affected, the musical artistic sector was the most affected by the situation of the pandemic, forcing those who live and work in this field to completely stop their activities without any contingency plan or possible support to be able to maintain their rhythm of life during the course of 2020. In the investigation that carried out on the media impact of Covid-19 in the musical artist sector of the city of Ambato, it was determined that many of the participants lost their economic activity, forcing them to rethink activities outside their occupational field in order to maintain their subsistence and economic fluidity due to the restrictions issued by the advance of the pandemic. The participation of the artists was key to determine how much the pandemic affected them during the days of confinement and also being able to know the activities they carried out in order to recover their economy and thus stay afloat in the course of 2020-2021.
