Item “Bienestar psicológico y rasgos de personalidad en estudiantes”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2019-02-01) Lascano Landázuri, Franklin Danilo; Abril Lucero, Gabriela Lorena . Mg Ps. Cl.In the reference to the objectives are to be able to determine the relationship between psychological well-being and personality traits. You can also identify the general level of well-being, identify the prevailing dimensions of psychological well-being and determine the personality traits that predominate in students. That is why the study methodology has a cross-sectional correlational connotation in a sample of 101 university students of the Social Work career, belonging to the faculty of Social Sciences and Jurisprudence of the Technical University of Ambato, for this purpose the Riff's psychological well-being scale and the 16PF-5 personality traits test, in terms of hypothesis verification, the Pearson's Rho was used with the statistical program SPSS. Results were shown where after the application of both inclusion and exclusion criteria, a sample consisting of 101 university students was determined. 86.14% (n = 87) of the participants were women and 13.86% (n = 14) were men, the age group was from 19 to 23 years. The fourth semester recorded 36.63% (n = 37) of the evaluated participants, while the fifth semester showed 32.67% (n = 33) and the eighth semester 30.69% (n = 31). We conclude then with the rejection of the alternative hypothesis as there is no total correlation of the dimensions and the null hypothesis is accepted. In turn, the dimension with the highest level of psychological well-being present in students, corresponds to purpose in life and the one with the lowest level of well-being, is linked to positive relationships, with respect to the prevalence of personality traits present in the students, it is determined that that feature that shows greater predominance is reflected in animation and personality traits with lower prevalence are stability, vigilance, privacy, apprehension and tension.
