“Niveles séricos de anticuerpos anti-péptido cíclico citrulinado (anti-ccp) y anticuerpos anti-gliadina en sujetos pediátricos con los trastornos del espectro autista y su correlación con los niveles séricos maternos”.
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Laboratorio Clínico, 2018-05-01) López Bautista, Paul Santiago; Yauli Flores, Carlos Fernando Dr. Msc.
The present investigation was carried out with the objective of analyzing the serum levels of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies (anti-ccp) and anti-gliadin antibodies in pediatric subjects with autism spectrum disorders and their correlation with maternal serum levels, the purpose was to relate if mothers with high values of antibodies mentioned above influenced their children to develop ASD. The methodology was based on a quantitative approach using field and laboratory research. We worked with a total of 80 patients; of which are 30 pediatric subjects with Autism Spectrum Disorders between ages 3 and 17 years together with their 30 mothers, and 10 subjects with typical development and their 10 mothers. Serum levels of anti-citrullinated cyclic peptide (anti-ccp) and anti-gliadin antibodies were evaluated. The values of citrullinated cyclic anti-peptide (anti-ccp) in mothers of children with ASD and those of their children showed a very low negative correlation (Pearson -0.112; p> 0.05), while the study of anti-gliadin antibodies in mothers of children with ASD and their children had a very high negative correlation (Pearson -0.096, p> 0.05). In conclusion, it was found that there is no relationship between the levels of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-ccp) and anti-gliadin antibodies of children with ASD with the serum levels of their mothers.
