This research work addresses the issue of deforestation in urban areas and the right to live in a healthy environment, for highlighting the problems that have existed since ancient times since nature has never been respected or taken into account as a subject but only with an object that must be exploited as people want it, even though the Constitution of Ecuador was the first to take into account nature as a subject, but even so, the rights of nature have not been respected, Furthermore, we as citizens have the right to live in a healthy environment with less pollution, to have spaces where we can recreate ourselves. The result of this research is that the Municipality of the city of Ambato must create projects that help reforest areas that were damaged for the creation of streets within the urban area. The methodology applied for this research is qualitative as it includes an analysis of real data obtained through officials from the area of road planning and environmental management of the decentralized Autonomous Government of the city of Ambato, as well as an interview with the Ministry's Forest Ranger. of the environment, and to the citizens of the city of Ambato since they are the ones who suffer by not having a healthy environment free of contamination within the city. In summary, it can be said that the research has the modalities of bibliographic-documentary, field, supported at the correlational, exploratory and explanatory levels. All together I determine that there is a problem within the urban area that with projects can reach a solution.
