The present research addressed the relationship between good tourism practices and the popular Corpus Christi festival in the parish of Salasaka, province of Tungurahua. The general objective of the study was to investigate the good tourism practices and the popular Corpus Christi festival in the community of Salasaka. For this purpose, a qualitative, non-experimental, and cross-sectional methodology was applied, using an observation logbook as the main instrument, which allowed the analysis of the phenomenon of good tourism practices. This tool made it possible to reflexively record the observable and symbolic processes of the festivity and of the community in general. In addition, records from the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INPC) were used, which made it possible to recognize and describe the festivity as an ancestral cultural expression. Through data triangulation, a high level of community participation with a strong sense of identity was identified, although the absence of consolidated and sustainable tourism guidelines was also evidenced. As a proposal to address the problem, an educational and playful material was designed for the children of the community, allowing them to reinforce heritage education and combine it with good tourism practices from an early age, with the aim of strengthening the preservation of local traditions and contributing to a more conscious and responsible tourism.
