Efecto de la eliminación de la dominancia apical en el rendimiento del cultivo de papa (Solanum Tuberosum) variedad superchola
(2020-10) Guamangate Casillas, Edison Fabian; Curay, Segundo
The research work entitled "Effect of the elimination of apical dominance on the yield of the potato crop (Solanum Tuberosum) variety superchola" was carried out to know a cut that allows obtaining a higher yield of the potato variety superchola within the Querochaca campus of the Technical University of Ambato, the same one that is located in the Cevallos canton. The geographical location of the work belongs to its coordinates 01 ° 22 ’02’ ’South Latitude 78 ° 36’ 20 ’West Longitude, with a height of 2,865 meters above sea level. The research was carried out by completely randomized blocks with four treatments and 5 repetitions, the results obtained were subjected to Turkey significance tests at 5% for the treatments. The results obtained from the Turkey test indicate that for the variables number, weight and volume of potatoes evaluated there is an effect of the cut at 20cm of the potato plant, statistically they presented differences between the treatments. On the contrary, no significant differences were observed in terms of the average number of shoots per tuber, number of stems per shoot, average weight of roots per shoot, average weight of leaves, in the number of shoots produced by tubers, average volume of roots and leaves by cutting effect. However, in the variables where no significant differences were detected, there were numerical differences of the treatments.
