Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2021-03) Garcés Moncayo, Diana Margarita; Altamirano Meléndez, Santiago MauricioABSTRACT Research and the technological growth of mobility equipment for people with disabilities have allowed the construction of tools that facilitate their way of life; The project implements a movement control system so that the patient does not depend on health personnel or a family member to carry out their activities; the main beneficiary is a patient from the "Centro de Rehabilitación Física y Neurológica Bendiciones". At present there are already equipment for people with special abilities that have been automated, however the acquisition cost is very high, which is a limitation for several disabled people with limited resources. For the development of the project, an open loop control system was designed and implemented; where the input is determined by a joystick that generates two analog signals that represent the positions of the DC motors, these signals are input to the ATMEGA 328 microcontroller where a conversion of the analog signals is made to two PWM signals that enter the motor driver through an RC filter.Finally, the motors will exert an action on the mechanical process allowing the movement of the rear driving wheels of the standing chair. As an additional input signal there is an ultrasonic which measures the distance using ultrasonic waves, which is processed by
