Item Análisis estructural del desempeño sísmico del edificio de la Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial bloque 2 mediante la medición de vibraciones(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2021-08) Gallardo Sinchiguano, Romel Amilcar; Navarro Peñaherrera, Carlos PatricioIn the country, the current standard (NEC-2015) establishes a rapid visual inspection form for a qualitative analysis of structures based on the one proposed by FEMA 154, whose main objective is to determine the seismic vulnerability of buildings. In this project, a difference was obtained in terms of the analysis by the two methodologies, by FEMA 154 the structure presents high seismic vulnerability while by NEC-2015 it presents an average seismic vulnerability corresponding to the irregularity in elevation and the presence of short columns. . In both static and dynamic linear analysis and inelastic static analysis, within the first analyzes the fundamental period of vibration was determined that shows flexibility in the structure and must be stiffened, in turn it was verified with inelastic drifts since they exceed the limit allowable 2 percent; Regarding the inelastic static analysis, it was determined that the building does not have the necessary capacity, showing that it collapses in the presence of an earthquake. Therefore, a reinforcement was proposed at a global and local level, the first through San Andrés crosses and the second in the columns that present a short column effect due to the change in level that was observed in the building through a metallic cladding for corners and sills. Finally, the natural frequency of the building's mezzanines was determined through their deflections to verify that the vibrations are within the permissible limit established in guide 11 of the AISC.
