For the realization of the study it was necessary to resort to different research methods and techniques, initially for the information collection stage it was carried out through the evaluation of the response spectrum of the selected fault systems with the spectrum proposed by the NEC-2015; the descriptive research used in the phase of measurement of characteristics and results, after experimentation; tests were used to determine the type of soil, using the SPT standard penetration test; The methodology recommended by NEC-2015 is based on experimentation with 5 holes for the study of soils, so the GMPE's were used: Akkar and Bommer (2010), Boore and Atkinson (2008), Kanno (2006), Youngs ( 1997) and Zhao (2006). The results obtained were that according to the model of Boore and Atkinson the fault of Ambato produces greater accelerations, according to the model of Akkar and Bommer the accelerations produced by the energy release of the Ambato fault are above the rest, this superiority does not it is very marked as in the first case; the Kanno model describes the almost perfect fit that exists in the accelerations of the fault of Ambato and Totoras; Youngs's model shows that accelerations for short periods are low compared to those produced by the cortical regime and finally the Zhao model accelerations for long periods are superior to those of cortical failures.
