“Disfunción biomecánica en rodilla izquierda tras la reconstrucción del ligamento cruzado anterior, en un adulto masculino”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2019-09-01) Farinango Montaluisa, Simón Bolívar; Córdova Velasco, Luis Ernesto Dr. Esp.
This case, analyzes the biomechanical dysfunction after the anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in a 49-year-old male adult, who had indirect trauma to the left knee with joint involvement in a sporting event, was assessed by the health personnel who determined parts injury soft solved by arthroscopy and physiotherapy without improvement of the biomechanics of the lower left limb, which is why it consults specialists who after several clinical evaluations, rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament resolved by arthroscopy and physiotherapy is identified for reintegration into the activities of the daily life, achieved at six months; however, the acute discomfort remains and spreads to the contralateral knee with musculoskeletal compensations to be investigated. The present, being descriptive research, proceeds methodically to collect specific information that allowed identifying pathological biomechanical patterns of the left knee such as: external tibial rotation related to the decrease of the biomechanical properties of the graft, foot pronation, as well as hypomobility to passive extension and patellar ascent that compromise joint biomechanics, where pain is indicative of injury. Finally, a physiotherapeutic treatment is proposed to improve the biomechanics of the patient
