    Podcast como herramienta de educación virtual en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje en estudiantes de comunicación

    This research focuses on the analysis of the audiovisual product podcast as a digital tool in virtual training. Since the pandemic, the educational system was forced to use technology to maintain the academic process. In this, platforms and strategies were developed that would help to strengthen the students' performance. The podcast is a recreational element different from the traditional ones, it has important characteristics that help to complement knowledge. Taking into account that the population chosen for the research are university students. The objective is to analyze how the podcast works in virtual education and its impact on the teaching-learning process in students of the Communication career of the Technical University of Ambato. The information collected in this study shows that there are several ways to complement the teaching-learning process. This work was developed with a quantitative methodology, using the survey method to collect and tabulate data numerically. As a main result, it was determined that the Podcast is a novel tool that can be included in the course. The format of its presentation can be adapted to the needs of the students. However, an effective strategy must be created to maximize its effectiveness.
