The footwear industry exposes a limited control of production processes, causing deficiencies in the verification of methods, materials and operating time, which causes performance losses related to labour and machinery, this problem is not different for Ralma footwear for this reason the research aims to develop a study of times and movements that will increase the production of the company. For which, the study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive research, starting with the identification of the production areas, followed by the timing of operation time and detailing the movements carried out during the manufacture of footwear, defining the standard time of each operation through the use of the manual of work study practices, the scales of valuation of the rhythm of work and the system of supplements dictated by the ILO. The results show that it takes 520.63 minutes and 157.71 metres to manufacture a batch of 10 pairs of shoes, indicating the existence of dispensable and unnecessary activities that take place in the processes in the 5 production areas. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a need to implement a new method linked to combining or eliminating operations and inspections with the aim of eliminating transports and waiting times, implementing new equipment and instrument arrangements to reduce production time in each work area and increase the company's productivity.
