    Efecto de la harina de jengibre (Zingiber Officinale) sobre los parámetros productivos durante la primera etapa de postura en la codorniz (Coturnix Coturnix Japónica)

    The present investigation had as objective to evaluate the effect of ginger flour (Zingiber officinale) on the productive parameters during the first stage of laying in the quail (Coturnix coturnix japanica). This research was carried out in the Cevallos canton, the variables to be studied were: feed consumption (g) feed conversion, mortality, (%), laying percentage (%), egg quality expressed in (egg weight (g) thickness shell thickness (mm), shell resistance (kgf), bud coloration, using a completely randomized design with four treatments and six repetitions, in addition to an analysis of variance and a 5% Tukey test. The treatments to be used were control T1, T2, T3 and T0, the inclusion of Ginger flour (Zingiber officinalis) were applied in doses of 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6% and 0%, respectively. Statistical differences between T3 and the control group (T0) are observed in the present test. Ginger flour (Zingiber officinalis) favored food consumption in the final stages with all treatments (T1, T2 and T3) compared to T0. The feed conversion shows significant differences with T2 in the intermediate stages of production compared to T0. Posture percentage does not present significant differences between treatments and T0. The mortality percentage registered significant differences with T3 versus T0. The highest income registered T3 with a profitability of 18.67% and an RBC of 1.19, which means that for every dollar invested, a benefit of 0.19 dollars is obtained against production costs.
