    Estudio del Complejo de la piscina de la Federación Deportiva de Tungurahua en el sector de Ingahurco de la ciudad de Ambato

    This research has as a goal to determine components that will allowed the rehabilitation of Tungurahua Sports Federation swimming pool, located on Ingahurco in Ambato, and the importance for the performance of the athletes in 2016. The main objective is establishing the effect that this will have in the athletes and the community. With the purpose to achieve this a descriptive and correlative work has being made that involved majoring the variables in order to recognize certain characteristics. Moreover an Analytic-synthetic method was necessary to decompound the problematic related to the abandon of the swimming pool and recollect the opinion of the affected people, in addition to an Inductive-Deductive method with statistical analysis. As a result the abandon of the swimming pool by the federation was determined, even though a high percentage of the community ignores the problem accusing the deterioration to previous administrations, lack of budget and the preference of other sports. The damage of the pool is 80%, and the swimmers think that certain aspects as thermal comfort, luminosity, sanitary conditions are deplorable as wells as the infrastructure. Additionally certain needs related to the comfort and optimal competitive training conditions of the swimmers were defined that includes: restrooms, hot tub, sauna, steam room, semi-Olympic pool, learning pool, gymnasium, locker room, massage area, showers, starting blocks, lane lines, first aid area, bleachers and also a residence to accommodate athletes from Tungurahua and other cities, reason why is necessary to design an integrative project to provide functional and comfortable spaces.
