(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Educación Básica, 2025-07-04) Chaglla Guanina Adriana Vanessa; Silva Mayorga Ana del Rocío; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Educación Básica
The objective of this study was to investigate collaborative learning in the teaching of Natural Sciences with sixth grade students of General Basic Education of the “Picaihua” Educational Unit, in the city of Ambato. Framed in the research line “Social and educational behavior”, it was developed under a non-experimental design, of transversal type, with descriptive level and mixed approach. The modality was bibliographic-documentary and fieldwork. Surveys with a Likert scale were applied to 20 students and an interview was conducted with the teacher of the subject. The results show a broadly positive perception of collaborative work where 85 % of the students consider that they learn better in groups, 80 % affirm that they have improved thanks to this methodology, 95 % value listening to their classmates' ideas and 85 % feel happy when sharing in class. It also stands out that most of them perceive the teacher's motivation and equal participation during group activities. It is concluded that collaborative work constitutes an effective pedagogical strategy, since it favors the understanding of the contents, promotes participation and strengthens fellowship, generating a positive and meaningful learning environment.
