“Estilos de apego adulto en consumidores y no consumidores de alcohol"
(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2020-03-01) Cevallos Robayo, Francis Segundo; Mg. García Ramos, Diana Carolina Psi. Cl.
The main purpose of this research was to describe adult attachment styles in consumers and non-consumers of alcohol. Constructs evaluated through the CaMir-R test to assess adult attachment styles and the AUDIT questionnaire to assess the level of alcohol consumption in a sample of 167 technical career students men and women between 18 and 32 years of age, who were selected under inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the 167 students of technical careers, show that 138 are consumers of alcohol, while 29 are not consumers of alcohol. Alcohol consumers show a higher prevalence in secure attachment style, followed by worried insecure attachment style and finally, avoidant insecure attachment. Data were analyzed using the statistical program InfoStat. It was concluded that adult attachment styles, both in alcohol consumers and non-consumers, maintain prevalence in the style of secure attachment, followed by the insecure-worried attachment style, avoidant insecure attachment and the disorganized attachment indicator. This result could be compared with the theory and other investigations, which mention that the attachment style can function as a risk or protection factor, secure or insecure attachment respectively.
