Carrera de Diseño de Espacios Arquitectónicos, 2016) Carvajal Villacís, Diego Alejandro; Viteri Medina, Galo AlejandroIn April 16th the Ecuadorian people faced one of the biggest natural disasters, the same that claimed hundreds of lives, thousands of homeless and dozens were victims of disability the aim of this project is to analyze the types of natural disasters this country has faced the past years and solve the problems of shelters for people who have obtained physical disability because of them. The technological progress in the last years has been great benefit in the field of the architecture so they managed to take in to account materials and mechanisms that generate stability, security and comfort farcicalities, housi8ng lodging and recreational spaces and leisure areas. For this reason we would use the parch church of Catalo in province of Tungurahua to construct temporary dwellings with recycled materials and mechanism to help deploy the necessary furniture for a comfortable stay in compliance with the standards set for buildings aimed at people with physical disabilities in the case of natural disasters. according to the methodological investigation approach of the analytical profile that applies in this research project the collection of the data by the surveys given to the people of the parish of Catalo, finds that 90% of the population agreed temporary dwelling for people who may be victims or have some kind of physical disability caused by an eruption of Tungurahua Volcano. For that reason the proposal is characterized in having to be a light weight material for easy transport to help accessibility furniture for disabled people and to generate comfort to the passenger compartment where spaces of basic necessities are distributed fulfilling an average stay for 4 people supplied with water and electricity. This project helps to improve the lifestyle of people with disabilities, being considered the main factor for the development of the proposal, the development of this research has not found a history of any similar projects which categorizes this as being the first project that develops a proposal to ensure the wellbeing of people with any disability caused by a natural disaster.
