    The impact of the automobile production in Ecuador began in the early 50s, when companies in the metalworking sector and the textile sector began the manufacture of bodies, seats for buses, parts and hardware At present, the contribution of the automotive industry has considerable influence in the national economic system. In Ecuador, assembled vehicles have been for more than three decades, in 1973 began manufacturing vehicles, with a total of 144 units of a single model, known then as the Andean, joined by AYMESA until 1980. While in 1976, manufactures assembly plants and parts of Ecuador (MARESA), it has until now assembled trucks, pick-ups and passenger cars globally recognized brands such as Mazda and created Fiat.5. The major dynamism of the automotive sector at national and international level represents a range of opportunities for companies in the sector, which will need to be exploited optimally and knowing the trends that govern this market sector.
