In any work built on land, it involves the use of compacted soils, for which it is very important to know its physical and mechanical properties in order to have an optimal behavior. For which, in the present experimental work, correlations were developed between the CBR, DCP, index and mechanical properties in the soil of the Tisaleo and Quinchicoto parishes, Tisaleo canton, in which 12 samples were taken, 6 in each parish with which we proceeded to carry out laboratory tests obtaining their properties and characteristics. To determine the correlations of 2 variables, the regression analysis was performed, while the least squares method was used to correlate three variables, where 20 correlations were obtained with a determination coefficient greater than 50 percent. To classify the soil, based on the AASHTO and SUCS standards, and a soil A-2-4 was obtained among the silty sand group and poorly graded sand respectively. The results of the research were applied in the design of flexible pavement on the Via la Dolorosa, obtaining thicknesses of the asphalt layer of 5cm, of the base of 10cm and the sub-base of 15cm. This seeks to know the behavior of the soil from simple tests and correlate with complex tests, obtaining equations in order to use it in soils with the same characteristics. Saving time, money and resources.
