(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Laboratorio Clínico, 2023-03-21) Barona Suárez, Kevin David; Ramos Ramírez, Martha Cecilia
The Clinical Laboratory must manage high quality standards within its pre -analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases, since through the result of these phases information is issued that is used for the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of the state of a patient, for this reason In the following research project, the CLSI GP16 A3 guide was standardized in the urinalysis area of the Ochoa & Ochoa Medical Specialties Laboratory. This guide includes recommendations from the entire healthcare community on correct urine analysis, detailing recommendations from sample collection to result issuance, as well as the most appropriate procedures and materials for carrying it out, in order to guarantee the quality of their processes. To issue reliable results, the importance of this research project is based on the diagnosis of the guidelines that a laboratory that has ISO 9001 - 2015 with the CLSI complies with, the implementation of a quality plan to standardize each point of the guide Missing CLSI, the implementation of evaluation instruments to demonstrate the level of compliance with the GP16 A3 guide, The purpose of the research project is to highlight the importance of urinalysis withi n the clinical laboratory, since it is currently a lagging area in research and quality improvement.
