Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2021-03) Balarezo Constante, Juan Carlos; Salazar Logroño, Franklin WilfridoABSTRACT The monitoring systems and automatic control today have been so necessary for industry of any kind that they lead to great scope in optimizing time and money, for which, within the scope of drinking water it would not be an exception, even more so when it is denoted that water is a national heritage, essential for life and a vital element. This project consists of an applied, documentary, field and experimental research methodology within the research line of communication technologies. The process of implementing the monitoring system for physical water quality parameters and automatic control for chlorine dosing begins with the acquisition of data on the hydrogen potential (pH), temperature, turbidity and conductivity from a Wireless sensor networks ( WSN); They are sent to a server where they are processed and with a proportional, integral and derivative control (PID) applied to a servo-valve that regulates the amount of chlorine required automatically so that the water adjusts to what is governed by the Ecuadorian technical standard NTE INEN-1108; Furthermore, said data is displayed in real time on a web page. The adequate dosage of chlorine allows to significantly reduce the quality of the water about contamination, but also to improve the time and money that it takes to carry out the measurements of the quality parameters in a specialized laboratory, achieving the reduction of diseases to beings living that consume the vital liquid daily. In this way, the EP-EMAPAR company in the city of Riobamba has a robust system capable of matching or even improving the conventional systems for the existing dosage process in the country.
