The tourism sector is dedicated to the offer of a number of services such as food, lodging, transportation, among others, to individuals who move from their original place of residence to another on a temporary basis. This economic activity mainly in areas more distant from large cities to the state subject to many problems that have limited their development, lack of knowledge of their true economic power, lack of preparation of professionals in this area and especially the limited commercial strategies, and this because there is no tool to measure the true economic benefit of this activity, in an increasingly demanding market. The objective of this study is to combat this problem presented in this sector and measure the economic benefit within the tourism resources of the Napo province, for this we base the research on the application of a mixed type methodology that has the benefit of taking advantage of the strengths of quantitative and qualitative research. The results achieved were to establish the most important economic activities of the tourism sector, as well as to establish the variables that in the future are highly incidents for the development of the province.
