The purpose of this study is to implement a process of conservation of the structure of the rolling layer of the Cevallos - Mocha road in the section Km 0 + 00 to Km 4 + 960 of the province of Tungurahua, with the purpose of generating data that they can be useful in the near future, after determining the current conditions of the road; in such a way that the document is the starting point to carry out more research in favor of a substantial improvement for those who travel daily in this way. A road inventory of its components was carried out in the first instance, such as: the width, presence of sidewalks, gutters, wells, water passages and street intersections. Next, vehicular traffic was recorded dividing into two sections, the one comprising the abscissas Km 0 + 000 to 2 + 120 and the other from Km 2 + 120 to 5 + 000, because the vehicular mobility is different and had a duration of 12 hours per day for a week for each section; in order to obtain the annual average daily traffic (TPDA). Laboratory tests were then performed with altered samples taken from the site as granulometry, Atterberg limits, compaction test and CBR assay. As well as studying the pavement condition index (PCI) to find the damage of the tread layer. Finally, I test with the Benkelman beam to know the deflections that occur in the track. These procedures have been summarized in tables, which facilitate the interpretation of the results obtained. Geo-referenced plans of the topographic survey of the road are also attached.
