    The aim of this research is to demonstrate that graphic design has become an important assistant to adults from Santa Rosa parish who have functional illiteracy. For this purpose, this investigation was made with the support of professional educational psychologists, graphic designers, educators, geriatrics and adult illiterate people. This inquiry proposes to reduce the amount of illiterate population by the establishment of alternatives, tools and didactic resources in relation to the field of graphic design which boost reading comprehension skills. In order to collect the information, the qualitative method was used to do the interviews to the sample population. The development of this research is related, in general terms, to the objectives focused on helping grown-ups who have functional illiteracy, encouraging them to have a participative life within the society, and giving them the chance to study from home, so they feel tranquility and security. Besides, it will contribute to keep social distance to prevent getting COVID 19.
